Trade Advice
Well folks, looks like I might be trading the ZR-1 for a 1993 40th Vert. The car has 80k on it and it needs a little TLC but is in overall good shape. The vert is for my wife. I know we can put this together but what kind of monetary difference do you all think I should be looking for to make this a nice deal?

Re: Trade Advice
Is the car loaded up with options? Also, it's a ruby anniversary car, or just a "40th" by virtue of being a '93 model?
I'd think a ruby loaded model in similar condition/mileage to your Z, you should expect a couple/few grand out of it. I think you may be at a disadvantage in that Z's are a bit of a tough sell now, and convertibles are always easier to sell. My two cents.

Re: Trade Advice
Hi John,
Not a bad idea, but I might be inclined to go for a C5 as mentioned above. And as far as trade, I'd think 2k to you would a good deal. Nobody has to tell you its a tough time to sell a ZR-1. Good luck and keep us posted. Rick |

Re: Trade Advice
I agree with the guy's above. Get your wifee a C5 convertable. Make sure it has the power top option. My wifee has one (C5 vert) and loves it. Oh the car is more reliable than a taxi cab. And gets 17mpg around town , 28mpg on the highway , this is with the performance axle also.

Re: Trade Advice
Let me see if I got this right.
... .. . You want to trade YOUR ZR1 for a plain old '93 'vert to give to your wife. If It were my wife, I'd tell her to find a new hubby who already has a 'vert. Just sayin'. Both my sons have asked who would get the ZR1 when I head off to be big drag race in the sky. I told them they'd have to pry the keys out of my COLD STIFF FINGERS . TomC "Crabs"
