buying another unit and you were aware of that. You needed time to determine which gears were installed in your D44, then you completely stopped replying to my PMs and emails. It had 4.10s then. What exactly are you selling now? |

You are correct that was my mistake and very sorry for the issue- I said I wanted to be sure it was 4:10 . at the same time I got called out of the country - once I dug it out it was indicated on the case as a 3:42

There's a "sure fire" way to ID it and that's remove the cover and confirm the information on the ring gear~! You can rotate a short axle with the pinion and short axle indexed and come "comfortably" close for ratio but if it's anything other than a 3.45 you need to remove the cover to confirm brand of the build. I'd guess that someone used the "rotate to ID" on this one and not being familiar with the Corvette axle ratio's just threw the 3.42 at it because of it's availability most years and models of other GM cars & trucks. To confirm year of build and it's original build you could just turn it over and all of the "build" information is etched on the case. The build should be either a 605322-9 or 605491-3 for a 3.45. |
