Default 1991 #1359

New to the forum, just picked up ZR-1 #1359. Vette Doctors Rx500 368 motor package, brembo brakes, headers and other things. 17,300 miles to date. Lots of stuff to do; Corsa, rear hatch seal, re-paint front/rear bumpers, new wheels with respectful tires, repaint top end and so on. Winter project is to CLEAN! This thing is filthly.

Your Car looks Great! love your engine, welcome to the club. I just joined last summer myself. I just love C4 Zr-1's once you own one you realize how are very Special these cars truely are. The best news is that they are only going up from here. I have #1055 Same color combo I call it Black Tie (best of both worlds ) looks like a tux.... I have the same wheels you have but I am trying a restro look with updated sawblades let me know what you think...My Kids said that they hated the sawblades but when I put the restro ones on they liked them.

Interesting...whats that supposed to be...Black Chrome? I don't mind it, kinda cool. I give an 'A' for effort though, you didn't take the 'easy' way out & put on some 'A'-molds, that's been a little too overdone by to many people, IMHO.

I like the black chrome look! Not sure about the red stripe, but to each his own. I have a set of 93' ZR-1 wheels I'm going to put on once I get GS front calipers to replace the Brembos. Everyone has A-molds, even Camaros, the 11" sawblade wheels are distinctive in my opinion. I’m also going to add 95/96 lower front fenders, powder coat the top end (competition yellow?) and re-install a role bar to make it drag strip legal. The new Corsa is going on soon, can't wait to hear the 368 + headers + Corsa.

Nicecar Matt. I have the same color combo 1991 #842 . The 91 was also bought with a VDr's 368 in it. That 368 is now resting comfortably on an engine stand. The 441 engine took it's place.

Thanks! I called Vette Docs trying to get info on my motor but they couldn't tell me much without the original owners name. They said they only did around 24 Rx500 packages, each were a little different, and they havn't touched an LT5 in about 5 years. How did your old 368 idle? Mine idles at around 1k rpm so it either has vacuum leaks, generous fuel curve or maybe different cams. My car used to have a roll bar in it too but it was cut out at some point.

The 368 idled a little rougher than a stock LT5 , most likely the injectors going south. The 368 ran strong.
