Default Pricing exhausts...

Good evening, Brothers of the Z!

I'm shopping the 3" Magnaflow ZR-1 system; who has best price? There mayb e others too - so mebby this will help: I'm wanting my cake and eat it too, I'm looking for best performance, BUT I don't want to be droned out of the cabin - would like to be able to carry on a conversation at cruise.

Any other systems come to mind? I'm all ears!

Obviously the Corsa system comes to mind if your goal is no drone.

I seem to recall a post on CF about the Magnaflow being in the $800 range from one vendor. You might try a quick search over there in the C4 sections.

Paul,

I think =Jeff= found the Magnaflow for $550. As for the drone, there isn't any. Ask =Jeff=. He's ridden in mine which is why he was looking for the price. I'm absolutely on mine. If you are fitting headers, there will be some fabrication necessary to match collectors.
Also, ccmano replaced his Corsa resonator with the MF resonator and Xpipe combo and he loves his too. Still using Corsa mufflers. Raspiness is gone according to him.

Wow! $550 for an all stainless system is a steal!

Default Gotum!

I read all your posts, and I placed a bid for the Magnaflow system at $550. I had to go to $592.xx, but I'm still happy - couldn't pass up a lifetime warranty, 3" all stainless system. Even if later I want to mix and match different combos, this (I thought) was a heck of a good place to start. "Some fabrication" is no problem: I have a friend that owns an exhaust shop and can handle the odd n ends.

The "Winter Project" is taking shape. Just a few minor items to buy yet, and let the fun begin!

Thanks y'all for your comments and inputs. I really appreciate the guidance. Looking forward to unleashing the BEAST come spring!

I think it will become the new benchmark system for the
ZR-1. Reading his description makes
Me miss driving mine with all this crappy weather we have here in Chicagoland.

Paul,

I'm sure you won't be sorry having bought it.

If you have good speakers you should hear the thump of the motor at idle.

Well Blagoivich did somethings right. One of them was the OBD1 moratorium.
No cats at this point but exhaust note is still pretty mellow.
