Default 1990 Tire Pressure Sensors

Hi -

Have a red 1990 ZR-1. Thought I'd dress it up with some chrome 5 spoke (later model ZR-1 style) wheels. (It has B&B tri-flo + K&N filter - otherwise stock).

2 questions:

1. When changing wheels, the left rear sensor broke - anyone know where I can get a replacement?

2. Can anyone give me a clue as to how to turn off pressor indicator on panel (remove bulb) as I don't think the pressor sensors will work in the new wheels?

Thank you very much in advance for your help and thank you very much for the informative information on this site.

Forgot to mention, it's only the strap that is broken - I believe the sensor itself (part # 14104395) is probably ok. Don't know if it's possible to just get the strap.

Thanks again.

Default Oh well....

Put new wheels on without sensors and lamp never came on. Guess the previous owner already went through this.

I'd still like to get my hands on a LR sensor wheel band (with or without sensor).

Thanks!

It's my understanding that 90 and 91 models will not set off the light if the sensors are not present. 92 thru 95 will.

Check ebay periodically, every now and then you'll see those sensors there.

yw!

BTW, GM dealer wanted ~ $190 for sensor + strap, gmpartsdirect.com was about $110.
