Crankcase ventilation hoses
I'm under the plenum doing some cleanup, and addressing a vacuum leak. I'm replacing a few parts that I feel should be replaced along the way. I've had some oil seeping from my crankcase ventilation hoses. I've cranked down on the screws, which might help out.
I've noticed that these hoses are ROCK hard though. (1990, 53k miles). I can get new ones from Jerry's, but just wondering - is this normal? I would think they should be somewhat pliable. I've got a leaking solenoid too- ordered a new "replacement". hopefully that stops my pump from cycling. Documenting things along the way- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlmswtApvfo |

Re: Crankcase ventilation hoses
The hoses hardening is normal, especially in a hot environment like under the plenum. Order the new ones from Jerry and you will be good to go.
