Asbestos
Can anyone tell me if there would be any asbestos present in a ?90 ZR-1. Australian Border Force are a bit anal when comes to vehicles being imported. Gaskets, brake pads, clutch disc, insulation etc.
Thanks in advance. |

Either, no one knows ( I?d be surprised ) or no one cares to share. 🤔

Re: Asbestos
By the time our cars were built asbestos was no longer being used in the US.
Replacement parts made in China may contain asbestos still today. That is my understanding.

Re: Asbestos
Thank you Gary, That?s all l wanted to know. I can confidently fill out the paperwork with a clear conscience that it won?t have asbestos present.

Re: Asbestos
My car got inspected last month in Los Angeles. The inspection report said they checked brake pads and exhaust gaskets - no asbestos was found.
Be careful, my import guy warned me if the car hits Australia and they ask for an asbestos inspection ticket and you don't have one you risk a hefty fine. |
