What to do with a spare seat? Make an office chair of course!
Many years ago I replaced my driver?s seat with a Corbeau A4 reclining seat, black leather, shaved base, inflatable lumbar, anti-submarine slot for 6 point harness.
I was carrying the stock seat around the world knowing that one day I would make it into an office chair. Back in Cali I found a free office chair on Craigslist and striped it for the wheel base. I finally got around to buying some 1/4? X 1? aluminum flat stock and some 5/16? hardware to make the chair. So for $15 in stock and hardware here is the 95 Corvette office chair. All I have left to do is get some leather cleaner/ conditioner and ?back in black? the base, and lower plastic, and it will be good as new to put in the home office when I get back to Japan. What to do with a spare seat? Make an office chair of course!
Thanks Daryll! I took at job with the Navy on Kauai at the Missile range to reset my overseas clock back in the US for two years. I have six months left so I?m looking for a job now to return back to Japan and retire there. The house and family are still there with the Z in storage. Thanks for checking.
