Hello everyone,
Hi, this is my first time on this forum, please bare with me. I have a 90 zr1 with a broken rear leaf spring, questions. 1 are they fiberglass? 2 did they have trouble failing? 3 my car has 9300 pampered miles on it thanks in advance, lonnie ![]() |

1) Yes they are a fiberglass composite.
2) No, typically they fail due to cleaning chemicals getting on them. And welcome to the forum. |

And the rear transverse leaf spring isn't as difficult to work on
as the front spring. Consider coil overs? |

any cleaner with acid eats right though them (i.e. deep purple etc)
