Here for example a former pic of the engine: http://www.fbodyeurope.org/albums/LS...ZR14.sized.jpg
And now after a little polish: http://i20.ebayimg.com/04/m/000/7d/11/d3a1_27.JPG

The car is now just refurbished by a car dealer. The car is out of order since 1996. Don`t know if there are any damages.

Apart from that now a very nice looking exemplar - if I only had known it a little ealier this one would be a superb alternative to my Z.
I love C4 Cabrios, a ZR1 would be a fairly unique piece - not only in Germany.

Talking Re: ZR1 convertible for sale at Germany

There must have been some individuals that had them built. There was a white vert out of British Columbia, Canada at the Vette Fest in Boise last year. It drew a crowd for sure. Chevrolet only built one though, as far as the books state.

from what I understand this car started out stock and had the conversion professionally done. gordon k saw the car and it's very unique.

expensive, but oh so exclusive. very cool.

According to Tek's post it was not being taken care of (at least cosmetically) and was selling pretty cheap at only 17,000eu. At that price it would have been worth taking a chance on.

Thumbs down Re: ZR1 convertible for sale at Germany

I don't think it's wide enuff to be a "Z".....I'm think a "LT5" transplant into a convert if even that....could be just a pic of the engine...too many things don't add up..initial registration 1/90...(it doesn't have a '90 front to it)...Auto...Black Rose metalic("92 was the first year)....the VIN # would interesting to know....sounds kinda like a scam to me.

Anyway, the VIN number of this car says it is a real ZR1 according to the seller.
So I guess this car must be a real ZR1. It also shows all significant Z features - inside and outside. Yes, probably car startet out totally stock and got a convertible conversion later on.

It's wide enough. And it is a 90. It's missing the EVAP hose coming out between runners #6 & 8 which would be a sign for 91-95.

They have been several conversions done to make verts. I came across a wrecked one about 7 years ago in Seattle. It was a red 90.
