Default getting rid of secondary injectors?

So I am going to be running my engine off of megasquirt. I have a set of 65 lb injectors and it will be easier to run 8 injectors then 16. I know I could figure out a way to run 16 but I am not sure I see the need too. If I run a catch can for the pcv so no oil fumes are going through the intake I shouldn't have an issue with carbon building up on the back side of the valves correct? I am just doing some thinking and wanting to run it past some other people.

Are you running the MS3-Pro? If yes, it runs 16 injectors. Maybe you could just contact DIY Tune and get a LT-5 base map from them?

running ms3x. A step below pro but might have the same capability. I will have to compare the spec sheets.

I can't offer any helpful technical details, but I lent my '91 ZR-1 to DIY Tune and they installed a MS3-Pro and tuned it. I've been driving with it often for a few years. It still has functional secondaries.

I am just not sure i see the need for secondary injectors if my primaries are more then large enough for the engine and I eliminate any oil residue with a catch can so the valves dont carbon up. Why add extra cost and complexity?

I don't think you will find it hard to stage injectors

on my tune it runs both injectors at anything above 1%$ tps and throttle response is excellent.

How stock is ur motor? The reason they used secondaries was to control PW at idle, which is small, and yet have enough injector for top end. 65# injectors will be difficult to control for idle unless MS does something else like vary fuel pressure.
