Oil Pan Gasket R&R
Replacing the oil pan gasket requires some patience.....
Followed the service manual with the exception of removing the exhaust shields. While the pan removal was straight forward, removing all the shields and brackets from the oil pan bolt/studs was a major PIA. Reinstalling the drivers side shield (left rear two bolts) has taxed me for today. That top bolt that goes into the block will wait for another attempt tomorrow...…… Here's the "insides"..

When I did mine, I just bent the bracket straight and bent it back after....
You’re right, it’s a PIA. |
