Default No new FX3 Bilsteins?

Hi guys! I was just looking over Marc H's site on his Gathering material and see that he mentions that Bilstein FX3 shocks are not being manufactured.

I think I might I have seen something or someone post that this was the case, but it didn't register.

So WHY isn't Bilstein producing these?

I knew that they wouldn't repair. This isn't another "panties in a bunch" thing over licensing with GM, is it?

Sad.

I was looking everywhere for new FX3 shocks several weeks ago, I did end up finding a front pair, but no rears.
I did send an email to the Bilstein customer service people and they stated that they had a production run scheduled for August of this year. Don't know if it might be cancelled, but that was the best info I could find.

This is what Bilstein HQ in Germany said to me:

Dear Roy,

with our shocks your serial adjustment options will be conserved.

You can also mount the actuator on top of the BILSTEIN B6 shocks, similar to your serial shocks.

They claim we can use the new B6 shocks as direct replacements.

It would help if they said specifically which B6 Shocks. Frankly I would be surprised if that was true.

B6 is just a generic term for a range of shocks. It still model specific, and according to the old part number. Not sure why they would add B6 to the "name" of the shock but it shouldn't change anything.

I believe the B6 is a new internal design or change. These might be a better or different internal design.. it will be interesting to hear feedback when someone tries the
