Belltronics in the truck. Goes off all the time, so much so that I ignore it. Pretty useless.
Valentine V1 in the ZR-1, much better. |

After years of experimenting, perhaps the best way to make best time (I find), point to point and not get a ticket

If you are serious about passing everyone out on the highway like I do you need to spend some coin on a top detector. Ticket costs have gone up, even for 35MPH zones. A good one will pay for itself if you are a ticket collector in the Z.
I recommend https://www.escortradar.com/max360c/ There are cheaper units out there, but nothing as good as the Escort series with live updates. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |

Great advice Paul! Usually keeping your eyes open and down the road helps as well.

Valentine V1, I have 2. One for each Vette. Just sent one back to Valentine for the latest update. Modern detectors do a much better job of minimizing false signals. Even the wife has the last of the Beltronics in her car. Saved us from tickets countless times. Here in the wide open spaces of the west the Valentine One’s range is unparalleled.
This will give a good overview of current top models. http://www.stealthveil.com/guides/ra...radar-detector H ![]() |
