Default 2018 ZR1 Introduction - Why not The Gathering?

Apparently GM has not revealed where they will introduce the 2018 ZR1.
How about we start a petition to introduce it our Gathering? And on the NCM Track. That would be awesome IMO.

That would be great although they usually do it at one of the auto shows. We'll see!--Bob

Speculation out of the NA Auto Show (Detroit) this week is that it will be at the NCM Bash in April which seems to be increasing in attendance from year to year.

Unfortunately, it's probably more likely that it would be introduced at the Bash in April rather than at the C4 Gathering in May. That's where they "unveiled" the GS last year and what Harlan and company seem to be favoring as a venue to introduce new products. The other alternative being talked about in Detroit this week is the Daytona 24.

Dom:

Although "we" would think it is a great idea, I don't think the Gathering is a large enough audience for them to debut the car. Recent past numbers for the Gathering wouldn't support it and we would really have to get to work with only four months to go to drive the numbers up.

Just my two cents.

I can't disagree w you Joe. I was dreaming out loud.

However, if they did introduce it prior to The Gathering, it would be very cool if we got a private look at it while we are there. We have championed the ZR for many years, and if the new car is what it sounds like, I think our group deserves that.
