ANyone have a diagram of the cooling system/circuit on the Zr-1 ? EWP ideas :)
Just brainstorming Ideas Basically the idea is to run an ewp to the coolant pipes. Gut the impeller out of the factory water pump (? still not exactly sure what to do with the pump etc) and use an inline thermostat housing after the pump where I could easily swap a lower temp stat in there if need be (175?)
With a good radiator, the idea is to try and stabilize the car at a cooler temperature than stock, free up horses up top, eliminate a possible source of mechanical vibration and not strain the cooling system from pressure etc at higher rpms with the factory mechanical pump. I have had success with the mezziere in my LT1 car and now that even some manufacturers run ewps I think its just the way to go. thoughts? The pump Im leaning towards is the Davies Craig Turbine style pump. |

Pete had an EWP on his car. you will want to have some telltale lights or info to know if and when that pump quits working
