Is there supposed to be a bolt in this hole?
Cleaning up underneath before re-installing clutch and tranny - looking at engine trying to determine source of oil leaks. Noticed this hole without a bolt in it - not sure if it had one originally or not. Pic is the best I could get trying to get my phone up in there. It's on the passenger side of engine at the rear, looking up past the cat shield. I think it's on the exhaust manifold.
If there is supposed to be one there I need to fix it before I put bellhousing back on - anyone know what size it is and where to get one?

It appears to be a bolt for the exhaust manifold and no cars seem to have 100% occupancy with some more than others. Cliff might stop in and offer up some info.
Jerry has bolts and the search function might get you the quantity to "expect to find" or "minimum required". http://www.jerrysgaskets.com/bolt-ex...old-90-95-1d2/ How did you do with the crankshaft insert? |

Re: Is there supposed to be a bolt in this hole?
I got the correct "blind hole puller" tool from HF yesterday and it worked like a champ. That bushing was in there good though - took me a while to get it worked out with the slide hammer.
There are pulling tools in two different locations in HF - even the employees didn't know where the correct one, 95987, was. They told me that one was with the other pullers but it wasn't - their computer said they had 3 of em - finally the Mgr found the right one somewhere else in the store. It was the one I was originally looking for and because I didn't see it with the rest I figured they didn't have it so I got the cheap one that broke. They took it back though and between that and the 20% coupon I had the thing only cost $40...

The manifold flanges are held against my heads, held with the metric version of "grade-5" hardened metric bolts and lock washers from (of all places) ACE HARDWARE. Knock on wood, but they've stayed in place for 5 years and counting... Oh, hell...NOW I went and said it!!

Ok, just got an email back from Jerry jerrysgaskets.com The factory placement diagram shows no bolt in that hole. Jerry is THE MAN!
