I'm sure it was a previous recording, I believe from this past January, but I tuned into Mecum auctions last night...
A 91 Arctic White ZR1 came across the block.....Camera got some good angles on it and it looked real clean....19,000 was the winning bid....A few cars later a 1976 Cosworth Vega (rare car) but none the less a Vega with all of I believe 120 horsepower came up on the block...Winning bid was $ 20,500... I'm like, it outbid the ZR1.....I guess people want what they want... |

Auctions come down to who is bidding at that moment.
if 2 or more people want what the price soar if only one person wants it he wins seller loses |

Talk about a car you could have gotten on the cheap years ago, especially the 77-78......My first car back in 82 was a 79 Trans am with 29,000 miles...Yellow, tan interior T-Tops...I bought it for 5,200....Sold it two years later for 5,800..
Had the chance to buy a 79 Black and Tan Y-84 back in 87 for $4,200.....My moms insurance company at the time would not insure it.....Settled for an 80 pace car for 5,200 six months later, insured it on my own...Two months later the car was stolen.... It's funny there's no performance in a stock Trans Am except for a decent amount of torque and they cost a lot of money today ... |
