My ZR-1 plate project.
Ive been working on this for a few months off and on.As long as I stay motivated hope to have the prototype done in a few weeks. My plan is to make these out of fiberglass if I can get a mold made off this as long as it comes out 100%.I thought about trying to find one of the origanals but dont really like the way the thing looks. From what Ive seen in pictures it looks like the plate is flat through the middle while mine keeps the peak flowing from the bumper. We will see how this turns out.The biggest challenge is to mimic the character shape of the original CORVETTE letters in the stock plate. The next step is to cut out the character.[IMG][/IMG]

I think you are on to something nice! I would be interested in one also, if you decide to make multiple ones...

Re: My ZR-1 plate project.
If this works out I plan on doing the 90 plate. One major positive on my part is now that you guys know about this I have to finish it. I don't know how many times I've marathoned on a project to loose interest because it was takin too long only to set it aside and never touch it again. I've got a set of mirror fairings I pretty much did the same this with only there done, just need to make a mold and get a few pairs made.

Re: My ZR-1 plate project.
I've got one of the original, I guess, that I bought off eBay a couple years ago. Still in the box. It was for a 91-95 though. If I can help you with anything let me know. Just haven't gotten around to getting it painted and such.
