I mean it feels like that car eating spark plugs..i have tested acdelco 41-602 and those works only few weeks then i tested acdelco platinum 41-913 and same thing. NGK BKR6E works about few months but then the car starts again misfire and hesitate. So that kind of problem i have with this Z..

I would suggest that your fuel ratio (rich or lean) may be causing plug issues......and a photo of a plug would be of interest.
It would also be of interest how long this has been going on and if you changed some other component (added a new chip or using different gas for example) when this issue with plugs began. Did your ZR-1 "not eat plugs" at some point ![]() I am not a plug person and am not familiar with those plugs as I use NGK Iridium BKR5EIX You English is fine ![]()

This website has very good pictures of various spark plug conditions.
http://www.autolite.com/media/11838/plugtips.pdf Post which one of the examples most closely match your sparkplugs. Then we can zero in on the root cause. I hope that the "eating" is not detonation. Also, 91 octane (US) fuel is required. Note that octane measurements are different between the US and Europe.
So, US octane of 91 ((RON+MON)/2) equals EU octane of 95 (Research Octane Number = RON). Kippis! |
