Re: 160 thermastate?
Hello Jeffvette, I just finshed reading about the plentium insulator kit that ZR1 Products sell and I have a question, sure hope that you can help. I installed a set of these Plentium Insulator Plates on my 91 Z car but there was not a by pass line for the throttle body or plugs for any of the lines. Have you heard of any other members using these plates without this by pass line, and should there have been a by pass line.
Thanks haberrj |

You might have a problem bleeding the system properly if it remains blocked off. |

Re: 160 thermastate?
Thank you for the quick reply, I guess that when the previous owner had these installed they didn't know or think about bleeding the system. Being up here in Canada we don't have a real lot of ZR1 people to work on these cars, that is what I have found so far, usually when I take the car in to get any work done I have to know exactly what I need to have done. If it is not too much trouble could you inform me to where exactly I would drill these small holes so that I can point my mechanic in the right direction.
Thanking you in advance again, haberrj |

Re: 160 thermastate?
I have been playing withthe number 1/8 in holes drilled inedge of the stat(ihave tooo much time on my hands) 4 hole car takes forever to warm up and wants to run@152-161-stays in open loop. 2 holes takes twice as long as no holes runs 171-181. hAVE ORDERED 2 MORE to try a couple other ideas. Does anyone have any findings or tried things like 1/16 in holes. I am going try 1-1/8hole and 2-1/16 holes. Have got therm install down to a 5 min job. llol
