smog pump removal
I have no cats, does my computer care if I pull the air pump?
What do I do with the open electrical connector? |

Re: smog pump removal
No problem. Mine came out when the headers went in. No complaints from the ECM. Besides, the pump only runs on a limited basis anyway; mainly to warm up the cats.

Thanks Paul. Do I need to cover the plug?

Re: smog pump removal
I don't think I did, but a little duct tape wouldn't hurt.
Next on my list for that system is to try to get the one-way valves off the headers. Gotta come up with more elbows first... Actually my guess is crow's foot wrenches... Then figure out caps... Cheers, - Jeff
