Fuel lines.
Guys, What part of the fuel lines do the Z’s have in common with the L-98 motors and what part changes out? I need some new fuel lines.
Recommendations for sources? Thanks, George |

Re: Fuel lines.
Shame you weren't at Carlisle. I saw a vendor there that specialized in fuel lines for vettes. They had a trailer full of pre-fab fuel lines for various years and makes. I'll try to find out who they were and contact info tomorrow.

Re: Fuel lines.
Thanks. Just a bit too far a drive for me. But if you have the source. Great.

Re: Fuel lines.
are you talking the ones from the tank to the front or the flex lines from the hard lines to the fuel rail?

Re: Fuel lines.
I have a fuel line set but it has one small dent in one of the lines.
But I do not have the flex able lines, I have the lines from the tank to the fuel filter, so where the flex lines connect.

Re: Fuel lines.
I was thinking doing stainless steel. I never want to get back under there again. Also I do owe you a list.

Re: Fuel lines.
I checked the vendor list and there was nothing obvious like " John's fuel lines". I called a couple of the vendors and those that did fuel line kits, only did then for C1-C3. Paragon reproductions does sell fuel line kits for C1-C3 and is just starting to get into C4's. The guy said if he couldn't find pricing for C4 ZR-1's he knew someone that does. He'll let me know tomorrow and I'll pass it along to you.

Re: Fuel lines.
Well, they got back to me. The earliest (if at all) wouldn't be until early next year, that's when their new catalog will be out. Most only provide them for '86 and below. I guess there is not enough restorers doing C4 ZR-1's yet. I guess that leaves 2 options. 1- buy the bending tool, flaring kit, and stainless tubing. remove old lines and bend new ones to match or 2- See if any one that parts our cars has them left. I know Y-me parted out a car not that long ago, don't think there is much left (if anything), try getting in touch with him to see if he has anything. Parted cars do pop up every so often, just keep your eye out. You might get lucky looking at Corvette salvage yards too, but that's a long shot. Sorry I couldn't help more.
