Re: What MODS Have You Done To Your ZR-1??
bought the 90 stk . then did jeal headers and exhaust . but wanted more so had corey port inj housing and plenum and 410 gears . that lasted til i popped a head gasket 2 190 k miles . now putting in new short block. the 92 callaway car bought in 08 and put coreys headers and my own design exhaust.put in 410s from 392s went to coreys and did the secondary delete and had him tune she is at 410 rwhp now . the secondary delete was a awesome mod along with corey tune .car got 23.8 on the 1600 mile trip to coreys and 27.1 on the way back . thought i might have made an error . but she consistently has been getting 3 mile per gallon better on my weekly shopping trips than before . plus she seems to have better bottom end and mid range . will find out this weekend if she can run better than her 11.94@ 118.72 best before the last corey trip

Re: Modding is half the fun
We all have to understand that once modified to our liking, these ZR1's are worthless
Sometime's I crack myself up

Re: What MODS Have You Done To Your ZR-1??
I bought mine already modded. I knew I would end up wanting to do the port work, exhaust, secondary elimination, etc, etc. and since you never get your money back out of it I found one already done. FBI did all the work and the previous owner paid for it. Win, win.
All I've done in the 6 months I've had it is Series Ones, braided oil cooler lines, some Carter bling and a bunch of other little mods. My next big mod will be 4.10's.

Worthless to them because they have no clue what we did Besides that.............they are skeered to drive a modified ZR1 It would be a lot like this salesperson's reaction to a Jeff Gordon ride in a Camaro What it is like with a novice riding in a modified ZR1 Video found by Vilant

I made changes that I later regretted (for various reasons). Since that time I've changed a bit. Rather than put the latest "cool" looking stuff on the car like pin stripes or dice hanging from the mirror or the now popular lights under the car, I focus on enhancing existing systems. To that end I've modified: 1. exhaust 2. secondary actuator system 3. underhood engine lamps 4. shifter 5. suspension bushings 6. radiator stack 7. AC system 8. ZF6 9. fuel pump assembly 10. LTPWS sensors 11. ECM chip 12. battery access fender 13. Bose system mod 14. Wheel polishing 15. injectors 16. thermostat 17. air intake filter housing 18. Fog lamps Here is what I refuse to do, it's too scary for me but I'm ok that others do it because of snow or other geographic and/or terrain issue. I just hope the disease does not trash too many of our cars I'd like to think the ZR-1 will continue after us and not end up like: so that they don't end up here:
