Default HELP!!!

Had an "unfortunate incident" during my pre-storage drive this afternoon and ruined the right rear wheel.

Would anyone know where I can find a right rear '93 sawblade? Most of you will know that it is different from the '91 and '92 wheels in that the '93 has a "machined face" rather than painted. I fear it will be like pulling hens teeth due to the one-year production, but I really want to keep these wheels rather than switch out to something else. The lip is eaten up for about 120 degrees and the middle part of the wheel (that looks a little like a rotor) is slightly bent and showing stress marks, so I don't think it is repairable.

Will really, really appreciate anyone hooking me up with someone that has or can find one of these rareaties

Bob

Hey Bob,

I can't help with the sawblade (have a full set for a '91!), sorry to hear of the incident. I hope that's the extent of the damage and you're okay other than that.

All the best

Dave

Appreciate the thought, Dave; I am ok. I can't see any other damage to the hub assembly, but until I replace the wheel (and GY F1 with less than 50 miles on it), I won't know if the wobble is from the wheel and tire only - I think it is.

Thanks again for the thought!

Bob

Do you want me to bring down my spare set to help assess if there's more damage? Happy to oblige if it will help. I can drive down tomorrow with the wheels/tires.

Thanks

Dave

Really appreciate that, Dave, really appreciate it!

I have to head out of town in the morning for a week, so I'll have to put things on hold for a few days. Let's hope I can find a miricle before I come back. I am checking with Marc and folks like Prestige Auto who found the originals I have on the car now.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again for the kind offer.

No problem, just let me know. I can bring down 1 wheel/tire, 2, or all 4 At least it might give you an idea of what's going on if nothing else.

By the way these are still with the original rubber and air from Bowling Green, so you know it's the Right Stuff!

Cheers

Dave

You can repair it if you can't find another wheel.
These guys do good work.

Thanks for the follow-up, guys. I will be sending pictures to a couple of repair shops in the morning to determine their initial reaction to repair. In meantime, please do let me know if you come up with a lead on a replacement wheel.

I took the car for a spin late last night with the space saver on, and the wobble I expereinced after the hit was gone; so, I am hopeful that it is only the wheel. I did notice that the gas guage was reading full where as before I had 3/4 tank, so it appears as if I dislogded the sender on impact as well.

Many thanks as always and cool, Dave, that you still have air from the original fill from BG.

In case anyone missed this last week, I am still looking for the 93 RR wheel. Appreciate any leads anyone may have.

Thanks
