Brake rotor size
Am i correct in assuming the stock front rotors on a 91 zr-1 are 13 inch in size, and the rear are 12"? What replacements are recommended, ie Baer, Wilwood...?

Re: Brake rotor size
The price variable is significant on the rotors. Really depends on how much you want to spend.
I bought a set of PowerSlot slotted on-line from autoanything.com with Hawk HPS pads for under $500. I am very happy with the rotors and the pads are great ... great stopping power and extremely little dusting and what is there is very light in color. Paul BTW, you are right on the stock sizes.

Re: Brake rotor size
Yes 13 inch in the front and 12 inch in the rears. I like the Baer Eradispeeds. They work well and look great. GC

You also need to consider the source of the shipment, rotors are heavy and the USPS boxes aren't actually engineered for this type of a commodity. One broken package that get's someones "toe" isn't exactly worth the aggravation to a busy re-seller or USPS for that matter. You and I can take all the time we need to package whatever but we also know that most don't pay much attention to securing the package properly. Last edited by WVZR-1; 10-26-2012 at 01:23 PM. |
