Default The SkunkZ has relocated

Rolled into Henderson, NV yesterday evening after a rather eventful 2 day drive.

Had not even gotten out of Kansas when I had an encounter with one of the larger state rodent's...I hit a damn deer:

Then it rained on me from OKC to Amarillo, had to pull off a couple times and wait it out in the Amarillo area. Cleared off until 30 miles from Albuquerque and I hit another. Had some white knuckle moments coming down the hill into the city, but thanks to a friendly truck driver who had my "6", stayed behind me and kept people off my ***, I made it to town in one piece.

Saturday was uneventful, sunny beautiful drive. Albuquerque to Flagstaff to Kingman to Henderson.

Here's how you travel in a C4

Gonna have to hook up with the locals, get the damage fixed and check out a few things on the car, I noticed some oil drips on the driveway last night...that's new.......oh well, we can fix anything can't we.

Anyone comes out to the SinCity area drop me a line, I'd love to have company.

Deer collisions can be MUCH worse -- sucks that it happened, but it could have been a much bigger problem!

That assembly was getting kind of loose, so I was going to replace it anyways, so I got me ear to the ground seeking an entire new assembly.
The door is scuffed and will need paint, and obviously the cover was destroyed.
Thanks much.

Oh man. Did it happen at night! Or during the day. At night is the worst time to drive through deer country.

About 6:30am, I had just barely left home...just wasn't paying attention and they come through the ditch and up on the road before I could even react.

Like I said, could have been a lot worse as there were 2 of them, I could have taken out BOTH headlights or had one come up the hood and into the windshield.

Glad you made it somewhat safely!

I'm back from SLC today. Lets schedule some lunch. I know John's been asking but I've been traveling...

Cheers,
Ron
