HEATING A/C AND RADIO QUIT WORKING

Drove 90 zr-1 last nite non of a/c contols were working but fan speed was running only button that was working working was rear defrost button plus radio quit working was told to pull fuse #1 for 15 seconds this did not work any other ideas thank you

I'd start by checking all of the fuses, not just #1 (which is the CTSY fuse). Pulling the CTSY fuse will reset the AC control head, but something else sounds amiss here. I'd also disconnect the battery for a few minutes, just to be sure everything is reset.

Has any work been done on the car recently?

I know that the 90's use the CDM box as a hub in serial data communication from the radio head and the A/C panel to the CCM. Yea, it's nuts, but it is true. Did someone mess with the CDM box recently?

If not check over at the Net Registry site, hit the "maintenance" tab and the "troubleshooting" or "common issues" tabs there will be a topic: "loss of serial data a/c control" or something like that. Usually shutting the car off works to re-establish the logic for the A/C control head.....not too sure about the radio head, as I've never seen that one.

Took VETMED advice and disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes then restarted everything is working fine have been driving it the last couple days with no problems . Ttanks for the advice

to follow up on this topic, My CDM failed and I'm driving around without one- the climate controls are totally functional.
