Re: Drag Racing at Beech Bend
The diesel crowd has a huge draw. They literally fill up the pit's. Most of those trucks fly we should watch those things go down the track. They haul azz ! Well it all come's down to $$ they have a huge crowd. And the diesel crowd has been at Beech Bend for quite a few year's now.The diesel crowd has been a growing event at Beech Bend.
They (the diesel guy's) bumped us last year too. Did my best to negotiate but $$ talks and bull$hit well you know the rest. What can we offer what...maybe 25 car's ? Good LORD I used to get over 25 car's to test and tune on a Wednesday afternoon track rental with the Buick guy's. Tune 'em and then put them back in the trailer till Saturday time trial finals. Any way look's like we will ditch in with the Saturday night locals O'Reilley Auto Parts fun drag's. Thursday is open , we may want to see if that day can be picked up and use Saturday as a back up just incase of the weather at BG. Hopefully in the future when the NCM open's the Motorsport Park we have a nice shot for some drag racing motor crossing and more. Until then well. Any one with any kind of idea's please come forward. I'm all way's open for some help or criticism. Stay well , and see you all soon.

Re: Drag Racing at Beech Bend
Other option is to block off the Holiday Inn parking lot and run the cars there, instead; of a tree launch the cars once franks pants drop 1/2 down his AZZ crack

Re: Drag Racing at Beech Bend
2 years ago myself & BillyZR1 went on that Jingles run/tour. I got to tell ya it was a total blast of high speed driving! We were in the back woods on country roads with multi apex turns, blind turns, and small critter avoidance (Lou crushed a local turtle). Mind you I'm not in endorsment of breaking the local speed laws but I had to do all I could to keep up with Jingles. We were physicaly worn out by the end of the trip but had a
ton of laughs and great memories. Maybe we could put together something simular to satisfy the large need for speed crowd. |

Re: Drag Racing at Beech Bend
Jingles did a repeat of that last year also. It was on the NCM agenda listed as Jim Ingles' Check Ride. I went both years and yes it was a ton of fun.
I could use MapQuest to do some looking and try to plan us a route to do ourselves. I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but Jim has to maintain some level of decorum shall we say because his Check Ride is thru the NCM. Last year Joe Thomas & Jim were in the lead car and we had some moments. Overall though we may have to plan something by ourselves if we want to become a bit more spirited....if ya know what I'm getting at?....in our driving. Tom
