My courtesy lights are sad - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

My ZR1 interior looks really good and for the most part defy's its 21 year old age. But the courtesy light lenses in the doors are like the tell-tale crows feet on the interior. The parts that should be a light-blocking black are cracked.

Does anyone have resto tips? Or a good source of a replacement (or 2)?

You can remove the lenses, and use some Testors black plastic model paint to fill in the areas where the factory paint has flaked away. It won't be perfect, since the factory stuff was orange on one side and black on the other, but it's better than nothing. I guess you could do a coat of orange first, then black over it too.
