Default Sport Seats parts

I am rebuilding a set of sport seats for the car. Anyone with some extra partsaround? I broke one of the little tube connectors. About the size of a nickel.

Thanks in advance, George

Started with the lumbar support. Original plastic bags totally deteriorated. Of course, since I tend to over engineer everything, built batters from bicycle rubber tubes, then sewed up the fabric bags to hold them. .

What I can use is the little black connector at the end of the three colored tubes. This is what I am looking for.

The company that made the system originally is out of business.

Thanks, George

George what you may call "over engineering" I see as a damn fine quality repair. Nice work there.

Thanks, just what I need, and it looks like Eckler’s is the only source. I also need the little rubber thing shown in the attached photo. 4 of them total. I was not looking forward to making such a small part. The originals are all shot to hell.

The new lumbar supports are about $80 to $110 per side. A lot of coin for what you get. I also fixed the pump. Replaced the diaphragm.

Gold. I just took all the stuff and did it in the family room. Reverse calculated the right size bicycle tube. Sports Chalet. Needed 2 at $6.00 each. Little bottle of adhesive at $25 from Granger for about the same size (and cost) as my wife’s fingernail polish.) Made a pattern and marked up the fabric from Joann’s Fabric. $5.00 for fabric. Had the drycleaner stitch it up for me. $22.00 and a smile when I told her what it was for. And as the say, priceless, well not quite priceless, but it is what I enjoy.

Will post a photo when I get a little further (or is it farther?) along.

George

George,

I purchased both of the connector parts frm a guy in Florida (I think). I'll try to find his info and post up.

Nice job on the bladders.
