Thank you HAWAII ZR-1, the repair has done!
I and my mechanic friend have finished the repair of second throttle valve trouble of my 91 ZR-1.
First off, I would like to thank HAWAII ZR-1 for his help. He inquired and picked up all the necessary and rare parts which are hard to find here in Japan from the shops or dealers across all over the US. Thank you HAWAII ZR-1. I would really appreciate your help. If there were not for your help, the repair would never be accomplished. I also deeply thank everyone who kindly advised me about the repair at: http://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14932 My LT5 now revives and is running fine. When I kick my pedal down, my digital tacho reaches 6500 rpm soon with terrific LT5 sounds and I feel happy and proud for being an owner of one of only 6939 made. As I have nothing to do while waiting for the parts, I read two books “The Heart Of The Beast (by Anthony Young)” and “Corvette From The Inside(by Dave McLellan)”. I was very impressed by the stories. Now I understand how legendary the engine which I have under the hood of my ZR-1 is. I tried to test drive my ZR-1 last weekend and found myself finally being at the highland where 200 miles away from home. The picture above was taken at Kirigamine mountain, a part of Japan Alps which had named so by an English climber William Gawland in about 1890. I believe the area around Kirigamine is one of the best place to drive GT cars or sportscars like Corvettes. With blue sky, white clouds, beautiful mountains, beautiful roads and the sound of my revived LT5, I had one of the best touring ever. Thanks again for the people who helped me a lot Yoshifumi Honda Nagoya, Japan |
