Thumbs up F-1 in China...

I thought was a pretty good race. Rain made it interesting yet still pretty quick. F-1 season as a whole has been decent.

It was interesting. I can't believe there was no action taken against Hamilton for his moronic drive in the pits next to Vettel.

Also, SPEED still seems to be searching for the right "on the spot" commentator to replace Peter Windsor. This latest guy was ok, a lot better than that Westbury dude.

I agree with the comment about Hamilton and he cut the pit entrance twice. It was fairly interesting as a race, but they seem to be basically relying on the weather for 'action'. They should rip half the wings of the cars and give them a 30 sec tank of nitrous to get some overtaking going!

Should just get Peter Windsor back, he's not running an F-1 team, LOL!

My alternative suggestion is that they give the teams a 'box'. The car has to fit in the box. End of rules. The problem with tight rules is that they tend to eliminate innovation, eliminate that and you end up with nothing to choose between them.

How about having guys with turbos or ground effects or adjustable aero/ride-height or superchargers, different engine sizes, wheel sizes etc. all going head-to-head? The teams invest in what they think gives them the best pay-off.

No idea who Peter Windor is - I get the BBC coverage, they have a pretty good team of presenters on the whole.

They did that formula for a while, and those with the biggest budgets win. Now you see "nobody" teams like Force India being competitive, and I think a lot of that is due to the tighter design and testing regulations.

We've seen 3 different teams win the first 4 races so far. Compare that to the start of last season, which started out as the "Jenson Button Show"...

I understand what you're saying - but I don't really see any difference now. The guys with the big budgets still win (the only reason it hasn't been entirely one-sided so far is because 3 of the 4 races have been wet).

As for Button last year, remember at that time Braun WAS one of 'nobody' teams - they didn't have a single sponsor if I recall.

I really hope the variation continues as the season progresses. Force India are doing a great job, for sure. I'd also love to see Lotus get a podium, but that's probably just a dream this year.

Ehh... Brawn F1 was Honda F1, hardly a nobody. But I hear you. I think the racing has been more exciting this year than last though.

But I think the no fueling thing is sorta weird. And the cars get uglier and uglier.

I didn't & still don't like the 'No' refuling, but that aside, honestly can't say it's hurt the racing. Been dang good this year

I agree it's been more interesting so far - hope it keeps up.

The no refueling is definitely wierd. Seems we never really see the cars performing at the very edge any more

Will be interesting to see how Spain goes this weekend.
