We had a private track day for some of the Colorado guys up here in Denver yesterday and finally got some time to take the Zr1 for a few blasts down the track.
![]() Keep in mind that Bandimere is over a mile high in elevation so n/a track times in most cars are close to a second off from what sea level et's would be......lots of personal experience with that...lol!!! First pass I went a 12.0 and I was very happy with that since that would be a low 11 at lower elevation, but I wanted to try and bust into the elevens and the very next pass I popped an 11.7@115mph... My buddy only got my first pass on tape, but I'll scan my time slips. I really think there is an 11.60 or maybe an 11.50 in her yet......we'll see! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYkwHpMllc0 Ry |

Yes sir.....it's hard for a n/a car to catch a break up here in Denver. My old 1990 zr1(350 w/ ported top end/heads) ran a best at 12.9 here and I took her to B.G. and popped a 12.0 my very first pass.......I couldn't believe the difference in the way the car excelerated with that nice lower elevation air....WOW.

Thanks for posting. Good looking Quasar Blue doing what QB's like to do.
![]() ![]() Great numbers. It must be a blast to drive. Are you coming to BG this year? Jim |

Great times Ry!!
Whenever we go to CO, it feels like about 4 cylinders are dead. I took a boat to Twin Lakes one time & took forever to get it up on plane. Huge difference in performance at your altitude.

New ET streets helped, but I think hurt my mph a little. I left at about 4000 rpm and shift at 7000rpm on a factory clutch disc and Fidenza fly wheel that worked great!!
