Intake runner optimization calculator
For those not gluttons for punishment, but still wanna get feeling for runner size vs. performance, here is a "down and dirty" calculator that provides at least some sort of a "dipstick" when considering the optimum runner size. Some may have already seen this, but I thought it would be worth while to at least clear some of the fog with regard to optimizing runner dimensions for the application.
Ya gotta understand, this calculator is only a "ballpark" tool as certain constants and general assumptions are "built in" that may not exactly apply in all cases. But, I was please to see some pretty fair correlation between the predictions made and actual dyno sheets. See whatcha think, and let's have some fun with it! Below are some numbers you can use to play "what if" with. The area column on the right is 2x because we've got two runners in the LT5. P.
