So are the ZR1 brakes big enough to accommodate the rotor? They appear to be 6 piston like the Z06?

The c6 zr1 comes with brembo 6 pistons calipers. The difference is the size... It is a bigger designs. The rotors are 15"1/2 size.

Right. So they are 6 piston but larger to accommodate the rotors which are
1 1/2" wider in diameter. Aren't the Z wheels 19/20"?

Hey Guys I'm not trying to change the topic or hijack , But For me since I wont be on the track and for me and what I do the stock system is fine unless I can inprove the brakes with little cost ( I'd rather at this point put $$ into exhaust etc ) But for inexpensive improvements etc would stainless lines and different rotors etc help? heres a ebay link to show what I was looking at ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/290702851807...84.m1438.l2649
I hope the link will post.. Thanks

I think you have a point about brake upgrades and depending on how you drive the car and the purpose. I also think think that stainless braided lines have a little help and purpose as do upgraded rotors/pads. I would warn you to you make sure you check on brand and quality as you get what you pay for in most cases. Besides as Jeff said not fitting our application, the quality of the ones you mention are probably made in China and might not be of the standards you desire for something as important as brakes. If you have done high speed runs and or even in spirited driving with close calls that better braking would have helped, then you probably want to upgrade. Otherwise it seems our brakes are not that bad for the average user. In other words, in my opinion not every needs to or should upgrade their brakes.

Give me brakes as good as I can get because I never know when I will need them. All it takes is some bozo who doesn't know what they're doing.

I would do the C6 Z51 brakes before the dual calipers. Besides, not sure that setup is even available anymore.
