Re: Carlisle Day #1
I hear you there Joe, but your ZR1 along with the other C6 ZR1's was an absolute pleasure for me to check out. I even had a chance to sit in one, definitely a slick machine.......

Glad you are enjoying the pics..... I still have some missing pics, maybe they got put into a different folder. I do have an additional SD card in the phone. Still trying to locate them....

Re: Carlisle Day #1
I hear you there Kevin, I really like the seats in my 94. I have sat in earlier seats and they feel good to me. I know they are more confined, but also imagine that they are comfy when either driving or riding in them.

Re: Carlisle Day #1
Tom,
Thank you so much for taking time out to take pics and correlate to name/forum nick name. Every year after the Carlisle I realize I had missed someone because I had not been able to put face to the name. Hope to see you soon at another WAZOO get together. |

Re: Carlisle Day #1
Excellent work capturing a "sliver" of the event, Tom!! It was my first Carlisle adventure, and it was WELL WORTH THE EFFORT to make the long trip!!
WOW! I had never seen so many Corvettes anywhere! By Saturday our ZR-1 parking area was overflowing. It was, as several have said, terrific to get to see several people I've come to know on the Forum, but was able to put faces AND (some) cars with names was especially good. I was in awe of several of the cars there - beautiful - inside and out. And, there's NOTHING like a paint job by Marc, but there was an (I'll call it 'metalized') aluminum-like high-gloss finish, and of course those powder-coated motors...ALL were spectacular...even impressed this old WARRIOR (i.e., not a waxer, ordinarily. Tom, if you don't mind, I'll tag a few pix of my own onto your post so as to avoid people from having to jump around. The Poster awarded to our club for the largest number of attendees of any club (pretty impressive achievement, huh?) Jim Voter performed a plenum-pull "how to". The car was crowed around so that some had to peek between the "front-row" shoulders to get a peek at the goings on. Here's Jim standing by his handy work. He did the plenum pull for free as a teaching demo. But, I asked him if re-assembly was included...or did he have to PAY for that! LOL! Just a few candid shots... Here's Charlie and Steve at main bar at the Clarion (VERY NICE) hotel (thanks, Robert DeMarco!!) This was taken before the "Rusty Nails" had a chance to 'do their thing'; what followed wasn't pretty - but what do they say in Vegas? "What happens in Vegas....." Just (half) kidding. We had a great evening, and the dinner there was incredible! Steve's portrait in the reflection of his beautiful, black/black (and now RED) Z Two very dear friends - nicer people you'd be hard pressed to find - Mike (aka Trippler) and his lovely lady Desilie (aka Riviera) (Truth-be-known, knowing they would be at Carlisle was a good portion of the reason I made the trek...to see them! Such fun people - you'd love to meet then if you haven't done so already...) Last one (for now): Three of the four hardest working people without whom the gathering would not have been possible: Mark Horner, Dennis Fierstein, and Jim Voter. NOT to exclude Robert DeMarko from that group, but unless that is his chubby legs in the background, he wasn't in this one.. I did a 'panorama shot' of the Carlisle gathering, from our location. I'll try to get it on YouTube later. Paul.

Re: Carlisle Day #1
Amazing pictures!! Thanks for documenting the event for those of us who couldn't make it.....Two questions. How many C4 ZR-1s turned out for the event, AND how come no smack talking on the Go-Karts?? I was sure the winner would be chiming in lol.
