I also needed to learn the best launch technique for the car. I tell ya what, this was my first time back at the track in over 10 years. Felt great and it was very addicting. Man I love my car!

And the addiction starts.
You might need to join "LT5 AA" (LT5 Addicted Anonymos)
Wait till you start digging into the LT5 and she starts to run just as fast as your other car on pump gas.

LOL maybe we can get t-shirts made. I'l take a size XXXL So, Pete, what kind of 60 foots are you pulling to run those massive times down the track? Have you beefed up your rear-end or do you carry extra spindles like other folks here do?

The best 60ft i have done was 1.69 with the 4.10's.
I thought the 4.10's would get me into the 10's but the extra shift does not help.

Nothing to beef up on the rear end, some have tried billet and cryod spindles still broke i just have extra parts, just make sure you use the solid Spicer u-joints with no grease fittings.
Inspect at every oil change.

Pete

Does anyone use a linelock (roll control) to help with their launches?

be kinda tough to use a line lock to launch with a manual trans. some use a line lock for doing burnouts so they dont burn up their rear brakes
