Cut and Shoot not too far from me. I'm in Conroe. Supposedly Bonnie and Clyde would hang out there.

[/QUOTE] Jim- Thanks for that shot of Hopper's painting. It made me look up the print. Amazing. Such a peaceful scene. A group of farm boys on their way to hell. |

Re: ZR-1 Road Trip - Vettes on Lex Corvette Show - Corpus Christi
On Tuesday, we drove from Laurel, Mississippi to Bristol. VA, covering 5 states. We went 150 miles more than planned today in order to get back to Westminster earlier in the day on Wednesday.
On Monday evening, we ate dinner at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Lyndi was ecstatic to discover Mini Corn Dogs on the Happy Hour menu. The phrase cheap date comes to mind, but not to be said out loud. I had wings. We left Laurel, MS before sunrise and got to see a nice sunrise sky: We drove 550 miles today and 1265 miles since we left the USS Lexington, the front bumper looks like a bug war zone: On our way into town we found a Dogs and Burger place that was very photogenic: Jim |

Re: ZR-1 Road Trip - Vettes on Lex Corvette Show - Corpus Christi
We made it home just fine. Busy day waiting for us. We left Bristol, VA before sunrise and made good time up I-81.
The morning twilight in the Shenandoah Mountains: Even though it has been very hot throughout Texas and the east coast, it is September and that means Pumpkin Time is almost here: Our Vettes on Lex Road Trip was a great success. We were very proud to get to have our 1995 ZR-1 on the deck of a World War II aircraft carrier. It was really an honor to be part of the 9/11/2001 Memorial and to pay tribute to all who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The trip was 9 days, 9 states, 3,418 miles, and one elevator ride up to the deck. Jim Last edited by QB93Z; 09-16-2016 at 12:18 PM. |
