Does anyone know any of these people? I want to make sure that they are not part of the ZR1/GSR before I cancel thier reservation.

Just posted this on the general forum:
"I have rooms booked at the three recommended locations (Fontana Village (Fontana Dam, 10-12 May), Country Inn and Suites (Alcoa, 12-13 May), and Holiday Inn University Plaza (BG, 13-17 May)) for the duration of MR3 and the Gathering, but would like to cut down on the cost. If anyone's interested in cutting their hotel costs in half ($470 instead of $940 for the seven nights), let me know and we can share the rooms. All rooms are non-smoking, with separate beds." Just found out schedule conflict with Mountain Run 3 and BG trip so have to bail out. My son will graduate from UCONN and will be commissioned as a 2LT in the US Army. Giving up a once in a lifetime for another once in a lifetime. Next year......
If anybody needs rooms for the mountain run or BG, let me know by this Sunday night before I cancel my hotel reservations.

I am sorry that you have had to change your schedule Charlie. Congratulations on raising a fine young man who will be commissioned in the US Army.

Hate to hear about your schedule conflict, Charlie ... but there's always next year plus I'm always looking for an excuse to find some new roads if you want to have a long, lost weekend running some mountain roads ... just come on down !!!

Who's up for a SW USA Mountain run, a la MM4? The canyons, Arches, etc. Robert and I were kickin' the idea of hiring a transport to ship our cars to some designated location to begin the run. That might be cheaper (apiece) than driving from east coast area to (AZ) to do a run.
Juuuuussst a thought!!! |
