Re: 1991 ZR-1 with Callaway Aerobody
I need HELP! I just got a 1991 ZR1 with a areobody kit on it. The car was signed by Callaway under the hood. The vin # on this car is 1G1YZ23J6M5800120 can anyone help me on info about this car? It has damage to the front and rear bumpers but other than that its a great car and I would like to fix this car up back the way it came. Does anyone know how many of these got made?

Go TV4autos.com and go into the Callaway Section and post the question... or call Callaway: 860 434 9002
If its a True Callaway they will have a record of it

Re: 1991 ZR-1 with Callaway Aerobody
My car does not have twin turbos on it but Callaway said it was a ZR1 with a Callaway wide body on it Is this something Callaway did at the factory or was it done at the dealership? Thanks for your help! John

I have not figured out why the car is signed under the hood by Reese Callaway. What ever this car turns out to be its a cool car.

Re: 1991 ZR-1 with Callaway Aerobody
well, according to your V.I.N. of 0120 that car started out as Charcoal exterior & Grey Interior. 23 ZR-1's in 91 had your original color combo, there were 27 Charcoal cars total for 91 ZR-1 production.
I can also tell you that the car was never entered into our "Owner's data base" either because the owner(s) never joined the registry or the member owner(s) declined to submit any info on the car. Tom

On the ZR-1, everything was aftermarket, there was no GM Callaway package. The Aerobody can be purchased by itself. You don't have to have Callaway engine work done to the car. It sounds like that's what Callaway has told you was done in this case. Post up some pictures, a charcoal metallic aerobody sounds pretty cool.
