ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You buy it online from here http://www.totalcardiagnostics.com/toad/
and get the cables from here (although I did buy the OBD II cable from Total car diag)http://www.aldlcable.com/
Everything is done online (even customer support, which is slow).
I used Paypal for both and the software and cables came week later.

Yea I like it, it was just a PIA to iron it all out and get it up and running (there wasn't an exact vehicle file for a 1990 ZR-1, had to create one). I haven't even dove into the Tuner Pro yet, I'll give my review once I learn it and get it going.

haven't heard anyone mention EASE

runs on Windows, and does a pretty good job of logging.

I think I paid 225 or so for it but it's been so long ago I don't really remember

TTS Datamaster is pretty good too.

any EASE users out there???

EASE is what I use if I want a software-based scan tool.

It's the only one which can support OBD and OBD2. It also supports data from controllers other than the ECM. I'm not aware of any software-based scanner which can do that.

So I finally got the TunerPro RT working. You got to love the online community. Robert Saar created one of the adx files for the ZR-1 and took the time (free of charge) to help me get TPRT working through email exchanges. So, now I can datalog through EFI or TunerProRT. Once I learn a lot more, I'll buy an emulator then I can start tuning. Here's a screen shot of a brief datalog while idling.
