As I understand it...fully functional, working, well built, well maintained cars are worth about 1/3 of the sum of their parts. The other 2/3's is what pays the parts business?!?!?! Comments? Rick Last edited by threestar40; 09-24-2011 at 11:38 PM. |

Sorry I'll rephrase.
Does anyone know who bought it?

I just hope that car gets a chance to be driven. Seems like it's such a shame to see these cars keep in some corner of a garage for all of their lives. JMHO

Seriously, that is a very depressing thought Rick! I guess it's true or at least very nearly true for the 90's anyway as there are so many of them. On the other hand, if there were not so many 90's I would never have been able to afford a ZR-1....so I'm glad for that part of the equation. Tom

Re: Barrett Jackson at Las Vegas Sept 22>>>
Hi all,
Back from BJ at LV... saw some interesting cars and was interesting to see some nice rides go for low bids. Here is the ZR-1 in question>> Just IMHO, the condition of the car suggests that even with it low mileage it was not a car properly taken care of...I would had it looking a lot better for a NR auction. It would not surprise me to see this Z parted out. Hope not... A fairly nice 96 GS was on the block and went for $33,550... Here I am in a ZR1 doing hot laps...car always impresses>>

Thanks for the pictures and the opinion. Except for the exterior paint, that 90 Z doesn't look like a 1,000 mile car. Whats with all the rust on the underneath? Being that it is a red red and in that shape, I guess the selling price wasn't quite as bad as I first thought. I have seen pics. of your 90, it puts that one to shame.
