Re: Corvette Museum
I've been known to wash parts in the dishwasher myself. Melts the cosmolene right out of surplus rifle parts too.

Cosmo makes a mess. There's a reason they use it on shootin' irons... But do be hasty oilin' guns down after removing it; flash rust will light up in short order post removal... Quote:

Irony is that Parking makes about ZERO mess, except for the Parking pot.

Funny I did not know anyone else knew what that was....when I was in high school my job was to remove the cosmolene from newly shipped Hondas.

Re: Corvette Museum
Its an excavator with a long reach stick on it. Looks to me they need a bigger excavator with an even longer "stick" ( goes from the boom to the bucket )
unless they put a mini excavator in the hole and load the excavator bucket with a mini excavator. I don't think anybody would want to work in the hole unless a crane was tethered to the mini excavator and they had their seatbelt on. They say the hole is stable so perhaps the risk of being in the hole all day moving dirt isn't that dangerous.

Re: Corvette Museum
I'm wondering if they intend to stabilize the sides when the remove all that dirt. Looks dangerous. Here's hoping all goes well.
They sure do have a lot of toys. I've been taking screen shots of each one.
