Re: Automotive Performance International, Inc. Cold Air Intake?
I just ordered the Lotus plenum plate and the LT5 throttle body plate from Carter. We are working on a different under the hood plaque that should look pretty cool. It will have the C4 emblem at the top - The the year and then ZR-1 and then on the bottom line it will have the number of that production run for that year - ex - #267 0f 2347 we are try to tie in the look of the Factory plate that is placed on the bottom of the hood - Color etc. Let Carter know if you are interested - I am sure that he will be willing to crank them out for us all. I will post Pic's as soon as we are done.

As mentioned, I learned that modification from locobob as well as the oil catch can I am installing. He posted instructions to both on the site and also the coolant bypass in the registry newsletter (I don't know the exact number). It is so when I pull the plenum I don't have to deal with coolant as well as an attempt to keep it cooler since I don't have issues with cold weather here in Hawaii. Thanks for the comment and since I was going through everything I figured I would do it right as my Z is not NCRS, etc. If you are interested and cannot find the info about the coolant bypass I'll send it to you. |

I thought Carter initially did a one off custom for me with my LOTUS idea, but I see others liked it and now he has done a few. He mentioned your plate and sounds like it will be cool; I went for very simple as you can see since I have too much going on already with the insulation. Carter, Please don't make that any for anyone in Hawaii. |
