2016 Express 1 ton van...… Company vehicle, I do Commercial/Industrial HVAC. If I'm stuck in my office I may take a Vette or the Lightning in.

Mine is a 2009 Cobat SS Turbo sedan, one of only 474 built. It also has the Stage II package, boosting HP to around 300. Why? I need front or all wheel drive in the winter and it is the most fun sleeper commuter car I can think of. I wish I could replace it with something similar from Chevrolet, but I am prepared to put another 100k on it if necessary and still be driving it in a world of driver-less, soulless electric crossover blobs.

The Grammy mobile is a 2006 XC90 Volvo 7 passenger AWD 5 cylinder turbo. Great in rain and great brakes and pleasant to drive. Being a nurse she likes being a bit uppity. Parts are cheap and I keep it going for her and the four grandkids. I drive a 2008 F150 Lariat 4 door 5.4L with 110k. Need a truck for work supervising residential development. It has a tow package and pulls my 18ft car trailer with a car on easily. Can haul the grandkids too if necessary. The Z has 6k mile a year collector car insurance and is for pleasure only. Not a DD. I shall not buy these newer electronically gorged vehicles that when 10 years old gork out and become terminally ill to the point that neither money nor man can repair them.

2009 Toyota Prius. Paid for in full and in the winter I get ~35mpg and the summer ~49mpg.

$20 fill ups and 300 to 500 miles a tank and air conditioning.

Nobody thinks I have a ZR-1 driving this.

But really the big thing is they are easy to work on. OBD1, but has its own diagnostic unit and test lead built in and located under the hood. Sure its slooooow, but for a commuter its ok. Now on Fridays I take the Z and have fun.
2017 Chevy Volt. Currently at about 17k miles. Lifetime mpg as of this morning was 182 mpg. Most of my work commutes are all electric.20190101_141157.jpg20190101_144316.jpeg

Is the MPG based on the generator use to charge the batteries in your volt?

So the mpg number is not conventionally measured vs most gasoline vehicles today?

Wow! Learning a lot about everyone! Silverado 2500HD... hauls the Zs and race cars all across the country each year. My pup owns the back seat when back in TX.... he goes everywhere with me.

Mine is a 2016 Silverado LTZ 1500. I wanted something to get around in snow in the winter and also be able to pull a trailer.

Default Question: Whats your Daily Driver and why?

I drove a 3-speed Chevette when I owned a 68 427 Vette Convertible.

When I bought the Z, I considered making it a garage queen, but then decided it was unfair to the car, so I always drove the ZR-1 to work. It was our only vehicle at one time. The wife was scared to drive it so I bought her own sedan. The ZR-1 and I are both retired from daily driving... My wife’s SRX does the hauling from Lowe’s.
