Re: Amazing Results after Haibeck work on my 90
Thanks Jeff, right now have flight booked for early tomorrow morning BWI to Midway. Should be at Marc's by 9 am and then start driving home around 10:00-10:30am. With the cold weather will plan on driving southeast through Columbus, Ohio rather than due east through the Pittsburg mountains. Will only drive during daylight hours as temps going to fall at night. So I will drive about 6 hours and then get a hotel once I pass Columbus,Ohio and then will only have 5 hours left on Wednesday. Just hope the roads are somewhat clear after the storm. Got to get the car out as Marc has people lined up and needs the space.

Re: Amazing Results after Haibeck work on my 90
Well boys, 1992 #246 is home safe and sound after spending time with Marc. Was quoted $750-$1100 to have it put on a trailer back to Maryland. The roads were dry and the weather looked clear for 3 days so I figured, $49 one way Southwest airlines ticket, spend one night in hotel in Ohio and home free. What could go wrong.........I planned a southerly route through Columbus, Ohio rather than the mountains of Pittsburg but hit lots of snow squalls in Ohio. Some lasted a couple of minutes and no problem but a couple were 30 minute white outs with lots of accumulation. Scared the crap out of me driving in up to 2" of snow and slush on the highways with PS2's but made it to Zanesville, Ohio where I had a hotel booked. On TV that night I saw there was a 60 car pile up on the highway I just got off....time for a couple of drinks to calm the nerves!
But it was all worth it. She drove home like a champ. I just had to rinse off all the salt when I got home. Engine polished, what can I say....bling! I had to have Marc sign the hood as well. Engine top end porting resulted with 394.51 Hp at the wheels, 351.36 Torque. Marc did a long list of things for me including a DeWitts fan assembly, LED tail lights and new Powermaster 37864 alternator which has 38% more current output than the OE unit. OE is 124 amps, the 37864 has 200 amps. It provides higher system voltage at idle and thus higher fan speeds for the engine fans as well as the AC blower motor. The increased power to the blower resulting in a huge increased amount of air flow out of the vents. Marc was able to measure the airflow and said it went from 10 mph to 14 mph out of the vents after the mod. I believe this will make summer driving much more comfortable, no more overheating concerns in stopped traffic and good air flow with the AC. Some pics for your enjoyment.

Re: Amazing Results after Haibeck work on my 90
Glad you made it home safely Charlie. My wife and I just finished a 3,500 mile driving trip (BMW, not Z06) to Florida's west and east coasts, then up the east coast through Seabrook Island and Asheville visiting friends. We were due to overnight in Louisville Saturday but with a snow storm predicted for Sunday all along our route we bit the bullet and drove straight through (11 hours) from Asheville on Saturday in good weather. It turned out to be a very good decision. But after more than a week of 80 degrees and sunny, we returned to 4 below on Sunday. Why do we live in Illinois?!? Beautiful engine--enjoy your "new" car!--Bob
