Default Imposter LT5?

I had a 70 AAR Cuda. Boss 302 was no competition. I could never beat the 454 Chevelle, except on the strip for top eliminator. He smoked off the line and never made up the spot. These were the good old days where a “spot” was how far in front of the starting line instead of a tree. The Chevelle guy day it was seeing the *** end of my Cuda with slicks out in front and was afraid he couldn’t catch me. I still only beat him by a fender.

Was it a 340 street AAR or the track 305 track AAR? I don’t recall having trouble smoking the street AAR Jerry... The track versions were also no match for the Racing Boss 302 in the 1970 TransAm series, which Ford won.... [emoji41]

340 Mopars with 3 speed automatic Torqueflite transmissions were a stout combination for the street back in day. Usually got the better launches out of the grip challenged street tires available then. Had to catch them on the big end if you had the power.

So I can count on you to become a paddle shifter when the C8 comes out.

I do miss the 4-speed Hurst shifter with the T-handle on the Boss. Although, I have driven the Z over 70K miles, I still miss that 4-speed...
