So Spring 2012, Lyndi said: "Where are we going for our trip this year?" I said that I have wanted to drive the Alaska Highway in a Corvette since I bought my first Corvette. She said to plan the trip but it had to be 30 days so we wouldn't feel rushed, and she wanted to be able to take her paint because she thought she would get bored. We set up a system with small art boards, a tray for her acrylics, a "closable" pallet for mixing and some clips to hold her layouts. She had planned to do about 20 paintings. The trip was so interesting that she only did 5 paintings. Your C4 is beautiful! Clearly you get a lot of enjoyment from your Corvette hobby. Jim |

As for my LT4 being clean, it didn't always lead a pampered life, it was my daily driver here in Ohio for 6 years (1998 to 2004). It had been through everything Ohio could throw at it weather wise. I grew up in eastern Pennsylvania so I was well-trained in driving rear-wheel drive cars in the snow. Picture below was taken after I had arrived at work (back in ’04 I think). The photos of the car being clean are the result of many hours of detailing to bring the car back to showroom condition. You can use your Corvette as a daily driver and bring it back to looking new! It did take many weekends, spent quite a bit of time under the car detailing as well. My back will never be the same. ![]() B17 Crew ![]() |

I got a pretty good chuckle out of your post. My wife must have missed the artwork underway photo when she went through your Alaska Highway thread. If my wife finds out a ZR-1 owner let his significant other paint in the car while traveling, my “no liquids ban” in the Corvette will be disbanded by executive order. ![]() Preparation is everything, I can see that you had a great traveling studio set up. It must have been hard to concentrate on creating artwork while being surrounded by such incredible scenery. B17 Crew ![]() |
