What are you using to install harmonic balancer/torsional damper?

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

Running into a brick wall with anyone that makes a M16 X 1.0 bolt in approximately 6" length that I think could work with a large washer and nut. All negative results with all the big bolt manufacturers, but I have one quote waiting for a response from these guys: http://www.tacomascrew.com/products

Can you get a shorter one? If so, send the bolt to me and I will machine a thread on the other end that will screw into the balancer tool. Just let me know what thread you need.

I'm sure your local machine shop could whip this out very easily. Or you can buy a M16 x 1.0 die and with some 5/8" round stock (close enough to 16 mm) and make your own.

Thanks for the offer and I'll see what else is out there. I like your idea you suggested at first and it might be the way to go. I'll check around and let you know. The Blue Point kit that I had from Snap On included these: Description:
Includes seven adaptors for use on a wide range of engines. Adaptor sizes are 7/16"-20, 1/2"-20, 9/16"-18, 3/4"-16, M12 x 1.5, M14 x 1.5, and M16 x 2.0.

Thanks, I'll see what can be done here. I definitely won't try it myself, but like you said a good machine shop should be able to make this.

Any updates on a tool to install your balancer? I will have to be worrying about it in a little while.
